Key Responsibilities

• Arranging toolbox meetings with the client on board the vessel.

• Crane and gangway operations.

• Familiarising and mentoring DEO Juniors and DEO Trainees.

• PMS, executing and documenting planned maintenance.

• Assisting and facilitating troubleshooting with engineers & shore technicians.

• Housekeeping.

• Informing clients when safety procedures are not followed.

• Work in line with the QHSSE Policy of Acta Marine.

• Remain up to date on international regulations and standards such as LOLER, IMCA and British Standards.

• Optimize vessel production and continuity, ensuring efficient operations.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience

• Certification according to the relevant STCW Code, flag state regulations and ship type.

• LEEA accredited Offshore Crane Operator Certificate Stage 3 – certified in accordance with BS7121 or OPITO.

• SMST TAB-L Operator Certificate.

• Strong English communication skills – both verbal and written.
