Are you an experienced E&I Supervisor with a passion for coordination and construction in the marine/offshore industry?

Smulders HSM is looking for a motivated and dedicated E&I Supervisor to strengthen our team in the construction of offshore substations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the field, managing and coordinating our E&I subcontractors while applying your technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure safe and successful project outcomes.

On the project, you will supervise the installation of the E&I scope (installation, connection, and testing of cable trays, cables, and E&I equipment) carried out by an E&I subcontractor.
By working closely with multiple departments, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, planning, and safety, you ensure a smooth and efficient execution of the E&I scope. You will also act as the first point of contact for E&I subcontractors regarding progress, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all E&I activities during the construction of offshore substations.
• Direct and support E&I subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality project execution.
• Coordinate quality inspections with the subcontractor for acceptance by the end client.
• Safeguard safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
• Attend FATs or inspections when required.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
• Collaborate with engineering partners and project teams to discuss technical solutions, lessons learned, and adjustments during the design phase.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented E&I Supervisor with:

• A technical education at least at MBO level (preferably in electrical engineering or instrumentation).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in E&I installation work within the maritime, offshore, or energy sector.
• The technical expertise to pragmatically address and manage changes and solutions during construction.
• Solid knowledge of E&I processes, safety standards, and quality guidelines in the offshore sector.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• An eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a flexible, solution-driven mindset.
