Offshore HVAC systems are anything but standard.
Harsh weather conditions, high client requirements and limited space at sea make every project challenging. As Lead HVAC Engineer at Iv, you will manage the HVAC team and ensure that climate systems on offshore platforms and substations worldwide perform optimally.
You will design, assess and optimise HVAC systems for complex offshore installations. Together with your team, you will develop technical specifications, system designs and heat load calculations. Through airflow simulations and the right choice of equipment, you will improve the performance of the systems and reduce operational costs. You will ensure that designs comply with international standards (ISO, ASHRAE, NORSOK, IEC, DNV) and coordinate solutions with project managers, engineers from various departments and suppliers. In this way, you minimise risks and ensure that projects run smoothly. You coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for the selection and purchase of HVAC equipment and ensure that customer-specific requirements are integrated into the system designs.
In addition to the technical aspect, you will supervise junior engineers and assess technical designs. You will participate in site visits and inspections to ensure the quality of designs. You will encourage the team to continue to grow and develop. The team is ambitious and committed, with a strong focus on quality and innovation. You will report to the department head and work closely with colleagues from various disciplines.
