Senior BESS – EPC Estimator (m/f/d) EMEA NOWOŚĆ

As a Senior BESS-EPC Estimator, you will play a critical role in supporting Fluence’s rapidly expanding energy storage business across the EMEA region. With a strong focus on medium- and high-voltage and civil engineering scope, you will partner closely with the Bid Team, Sales Engineering, Procurement, Product Management, and Project Execution teams to develop accurate, competitive, and technically robust EPC cost estimates and proposals.

While the position is based in Germany, it supports the full EMEA organization -including the UK, Benelux, and additional markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Bid Team to translate customer requirements into compelling and optimized technical energy storage solution proposals in close cooperation with the EMEA Sales (Engineering) teams with strong focus on Medium-,High Voltage and Civil content.
• Create and maintain a pricing table database of key components of big scale BESS.
• Support Procurement to set up a network to source BOP components within the to Procurement Support EMEA region.
• Take the lead in soliciting and evaluating proposals from BOP contractors (Electrical and Civil) and equipment vendors in collaboration with Procurement team
• Develop accurate EPC costs and budgets.
• Support qualification of potential Subcontractors for electrical and civil content (focus on MV and HV). Handover all technical details of transacted deals to the Project execution teams and support in initial start-up of the project especially for MV and HV scope.
• Co-ordinate product readiness, product availability and pricing with the Product Management, Manufacturing and the Procurement departments to feed into the offering stage.
• Conduct regular travel across the EMEA region as required (Approx. 15%)

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to handle multi-stakeholder requests and communicate results.
• Ability to review contracts, RFPs and engineering drawings to determine key requirements. Perform take offs from drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience working in energy storage, solar, other power generation or industrial balance of plant (e.g. EPC works)
• Knowledge of standards, codes and regulations.
• Passion and entrepreneurial drive, ability to prioritize and execute many parallel tasks.
• High level of ownership of opportunities and drive to close them to meet Fluence business targets
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Effective in a highly collaborative, fast-moving, and informally structured environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English.

Additional Skills

• Experiences as a Project Manager or Construction Manager are a plus.
