We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Buildings and Places multi‑disciplinary design service, supporting the delivery of a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects across sectors including defence, education, public realm and aviation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a developing engineer to build strong technical capability and broaden their experience, working on projects from early concept through to construction, with support and mentorship from experienced civil and structural engineers.

You will form part of a growing civil engineering team within AtkinsRéalis’ national Building Design Practice. The role will involve the design and coordination of sustainable drainage systems and hard landscaping in support of our multi‑discipline buildings design. It will cover civil infrastructure works such as car parks, access roads, external works and drainage systems alongside involvement in the associated statutory approvals, technical consents and planning‑related submissions required to deliver projects across the UK. You will be working on projects throughout the UK with occasional opportunities to contribute to international projects. Based within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment, the position offers flexibility in location across our UK offices, with hybrid and remote working options aligned to our flexible working practices.

Location: Although the role is advertised for Glasgow and Edinburgh, we are also open to candidates based in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester or Leeds.
