Join us as a General Site Manager (f/m/d) – HVDC Power Transmission Construction Sites, where your day begins at the heart of an industrial construction site. You will take charge of planning and organizing daily activities alongside your dedicated team. As the primary contact for:

• Customers
• Authorities
• Contractors
• Partners

you will ensure seamless communication and collaboration. You will also work closely with:

• Project management teams
• Back-office teams

driving the project forward and making a significant impact on our operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact as General Site Manager (f/m/d) for HVDC Power Transmission Construction Sites

• Overall responsibility for onsite works within Siemens Energy Grid Technologies / High Voltage Solutions scope, including legal accountability for project site and site personnel.
• Representation of project management interests on site towards customers, authorities, contractors, partners, and consultants.
• Accountability for onsite order execution, financial performance, schedule adherence, and quality results using standardized tools.
• Ensuring compliance with EHS requirements, regulations, and procedures, including promotion and leadership of Zero Harm Culture.
• Management and documentation of non-conformances, deviations, and claims, including escalation of issues impacting scope, budget, or schedule.
• Coordination and controlling of corrective actions, risk mitigation, and opportunities, including cost and schedule reviews, reporting, open points management, and closure of technical project changes before milestones.

What You Bring as General Site Manager

• Higher education degree in electrical or civil engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in construction of complex industrial projects, preferably HVDC power transmission EPC or consortium environments.
• Several years onsite leadership experience in major construction sites in roles such as electrical or civil site lead, including knowledge of construction and commissioning processes and methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of EHS policies, practices, regulations, and site execution plans for complex construction projects, as well as additional qualifications such as project management certification (e.g., IPMA preferred).
• Proven leadership of multinational teams in dynamic environments combined with strong communication and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English and preferably German.
