Senior Metering Engineer

As a Senior Metering Engineer you will be part of the Metering Development Department, which has the main responsibility for the metering technology fundamentals of TechnipFMC’s multiphase meters. You will be expected to take responsibility for key processes related to the department’s product lifecycle management responsibilities, as well as ongoing problem solving tasks towards Production and Service. It is also expected that you will have key contributions and take responsibility for driving internal projects aimed at maintaining and continuously improve our multiphase meter’s performance. 

Job Description 

• Participate in internal projects aimed at maintaining and continuously improving our multiphase meter’s performance. 

• Have main responsibility for 2nd level technical support on our metering technology for meters in operation: 

• Act as main contact point towards our Service Department to help analyze and resolve issues with MPM flow meters in operation. 

• Manage the department’s open issues related to meters in operation, with responsibility for involving other resources when required. 

• Actively work together with Service Department with improving procedures and work processes to streamline technical support and problem solving with meters in operation. 

• Take responsibility for the department’s responsibilities related to external flow tests 

• Participate in planning, preparation, execution and follow-up of internal and customer-driven technology qualification and verification flow tests at 3rd party flow laboratories. 

• Take responsibility for data handling, both through quality control during flow tests and preparation of data as source of report generation and R&D work after completion of the test.

Essential:  

• Master degree in within petroleum engineering, cybernetics, signal processing, applied physics, mathematics or similar areas 

• Relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency 

• Excellent communication skills 

• Interacting effectively with diverse teams 

• Basic knowledge in programming 

• Analytical 

• Structured mindset with focus on systematic problem solving 

• Pro-active and self-driven 

Desirable  

• It is beneficial to have experience from the petroleum industry, more specifically within metering.
