These roles will report to the Discipline Manager, Instrumentation and will be based in Kraków.
Within the Engineering Europe Department and the Instrumentation Europe team, you participate in the design and construction of our production units for the Group, or our third-party customers. Integrated into our project execution teams, you intervene from the proposal phase, in direct contact with our customers, until the delivery of the sized equipment and the start-up of the units.
With the Instrumentation expertise, the team participates in the development of the group’s new technologies, in particular the production of Hydrogen and CO₂ capture, and works to ensure the precision and reliability of our process measurements.
Your responsibilities:
Prepare proposals and execute projects for instrumentation for various industries including petrochemical, refinery or cryogenic technology
Lead a Project team of instrumentation engineers in-house or a 3rd party Instrumentation engineers
Analyze and evaluate technical contract annexes
Plan, manage, monitor, review and approve the discipline’s work, subject to quality, schedule, progress, budget, project and contract requirements
Report to Project Management, capitalise project execution
Prepare project-specific basis of design as per the relevant specifications and contract requirements
Develop and supervise Instrumentation design overall, including Instrument List, Data Sheets (Instruments, Valves, Analysers), Hook-ups, Material Take-off; Instrument Layout drawings, Wiring diagrams (junction box arrangement, loop drawings) and the like
Supervise coordination of Package Units, interfaces to other disciplines, client, vendors and Project Management
Verify project documentation with respect to its completeness and compliance with Air Liquide standards, branch and local regulations, contract requirements
Participate in inspections for instruments, valves and analysers
Carry out Instrumentation Engineering in full extent for small scale project
Develop/update of Air Liquide standards, work processes or tools
Development into Senior Lead Engineer, Design Authority, Expert

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Master’s degree in Automation
Experience in plant engineering company as Instrumentation Lead Engineer
Ability to work independently in execution of projects for instrumentation, preparation of proposals
Proficiency in English, Polish would be appreciated
Computer skills, knowledge of applications such as MS Office, ACAD, Smart Plant Instrumentation, Smart Plant 3D would be appreciated
Eager to work in a multi-cultural and multi-project teams, willing to travel short term to other engineering centers or if needed to construction sites
High interpersonal skills
