Create and manage business from existing customers and investigate and develop new potential customers/business that will ensure revenue growth and profitability
Knowing customer needs and building up relationships
Leading business development and sales activities and process of sourcing competitive rates from respective subcontractors
Taking commercial decisions of how and what to offer to customers including identification of relevant scope of work and terms & conditions
Working closely with Branch- and Operations Management on efficient implementation of new business and customers to maximize the profit
Identify new opportunities for customer and business growth within new and existing markets, products and regions
Long term goal is, to build up a business development and if necessary commercial team to achieve continuous growth and development for the branch
Skills, knowledge and expertise:
At least five years’ experience in international project freight forwarding including key roles in Sales or Business Development
In depth commercial knowledge of international freight forwarding covering all transport modes
Having tendering experience and thus being able to lead tender management process on selected projects
Highly self-motivated and pro-active, as well as analytical and well-organized
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members
Willingness to travel and very good English skills, verbal and written
