We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Surface team to lead complex upstream oil and gas projects from conception to completion. You will be accountable for timely delivery, budget control, and client satisfaction, ensuring all activities align with company values, QHSES standards, and contractual commitments.

This role can be based in either of the following locations: Scotland (Aberdeen – Altens site – or Dunfermline), Netherlands (Nieuw Amsterdam).

Job Description

The project manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from conception to completion. This includes:

• Overall management of the project, including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinating with the client and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
• Serving as the project leader responsible for the safe and quality delivery of Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Commissioning and Start-up activities, including developing the Execution Plan, project schedule, implementing business processes, resource management, coordination, and cost forecasting.
• Managing project change orders and scope changes.
• Managing project risks and developing mitigation plans.
• Holding financial responsibility for Engineering, Procurement, and Start-Up activities, including materials, equipment, subcontractors, deliverables, and cost performance.
• Delivering effective communication to all internal and external customers (Project Team, Stakeholders, Partners, Vendors, etc.), including performance metrics and progress reporting.
• Coordinating and leading Project review meetings.
• Playing a major role in Business Development activities related to the customer.

Education

• Strong technical background with excellent understanding of upstream oil & gas projects and design-to-manufacture processes.

Experience

• Several years in a similar role.

Skills

• Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Excel, Project).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and project management tools.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Professional English.

Required Technical Skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Understanding of quality control and assurance procedures.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and identify root causes.

• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, Project).
