Application Engineer

Job description

At DEIF, we develop advanced solutions for controlling and protecting power systems. Our electronic devices and solutions ensure reliable power for critical infrastructures such as hospitals and data centres, reduce fuel consumption on ships, and enhance energy production while extending the operational lifetime of wind turbines.

As an Application Engineer, you will join our ENEA Integration Team, which consists of 30 skilled colleagues. The team is responsible for developing innovative, customised solutions for power generation and energy management, with a focus on efficient, safe, and reliable systems for the global Marine, Offshore, and land-based sectors – enhancing our customers’ competitive advantage.

Working tasks & Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and develop suitable solution with a focus on Codesys.
• Collaborate with other application engineers to create tailored software solutions.
• Specify, document, and test the developed software to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Work closely with R&D, Sales, and Service teams.
• Occasionally travel to support customers and projects on-site.

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically skilled and solution-oriented team player who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. To succeed in this role, you bring:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field
• Solid knowledge of PLC programming, especially in Codesys (IEC61131 – ST)
• Experience in developing project-specific software solutions
• Familiarity with power generation is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
