Maritime Technical Service Engineer

Job description

To strengthen our team in IJmuiden, we are looking for a Maritime Technical Service Engineer. In this shore-based role, you will support the technical management of a part of our operational fleet. You will work closely with the Superintendent and be involved in maintenance, repairs, and technical improvements. This is a great opportunity for a (diesel) mechanic or technical professional with the ambition to grow into a Superintendent role.

Key duties

  • Perform technical maintenance and repairs on our vessels
  • Support and guide our shore-based engineers
  • Manage maintenance data in the MARAD system
  • Plan and coordinate dry dockings in cooperation with the Superintendent

Skills and experience

  • Technical education, preferably in maritime engineering, shipbuilding, or mechanical engineering
  • Experience as a (diesel) mechanic, marine engineer, or similar technical role
  • Interest in the maritime industry and ambition to grow into a coordinating position
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and proactive attitude
  • Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written
  • Valid Category B driver’s license
  • Living within a 50 km radius of Ijmuiden
