Responsible for overseeing construction operations on the wind turbine installation vessel, ensuring alignment with the company’s requirements, maintaining safety, and managing the company’s WTG offshore operations.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of Client Representatives, Commissioning Supervisors, Quality Inspectors, and other offshore personnel, ensuring seamless integration with other company’s T&I operations and WTG contractor activities.
Assist with the review and quality assurance of Daily Progress Reports.
Foster a strong safety culture by encouraging teams to raise concerns and address issues openly.
Work a 12-hour day/night shift on a 2/2-week rotation, subject to vessel operations, with the flexibility required to accommodate potential changes in rotation patterns.
Plan and coordinate construction and marine activities within the scope of the company’s engagement.
Participation in daily planning meetings.
Manage and allocate custody between construction and packages, including oversight of On/Off Surveys.
Provide support to the Harbour Supervisor, Site Technicians, Site Administrators, and other team members.
Engage in toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) as needed.
Lead and promote high standards of health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) practices in all operations.
Contribute to progress tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibility:
Ensure compliance with Offshore Site Management Procedures.
Oversee punch lists and coordinate efforts with QA teams and contractors.
Manage incident reporting and ensure timely closeout of corrective actions.
Monitor and coordinate daily reporting activities.
Daily planning meetings with contractors and document (MOM).
Ensure the safe planning, coordination, and execution of offshore installation, marine, and personnel logistics activities in collaboration with contractors.
Maintain strict adherence to work authorization, custody, and handover procedures.
Oversee and manage all the company’s WTG package personnel offshore.
Provide first-line support to Client Representatives, Commissioning Supervisors, Quality Inspectors, and other offshore personnel, ensuring seamless coordination with the company’s onshore teams.
Monitor contractor punch lists and drive their timely closeout.
Ensure full compliance with statutory, corporate, and project-specific policies, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
Professional education in construction or extensive expertise in the offshore wind turbine construction industry, with a minimum of 7 years of offshore experience.
Certification in FUET or BOSIET.
Completion of GWO training, covering 5 basic modules.
Possession of a valid industry medical certification (OGUK or NOGEPA).
