The Senior Offshore Geophysicist is responsible for the data acquisition, quality control, interpretation and production of our geophysical deliverables.

Key tasks and responsibilities: 

• Support the preparation of project documentation, as required.
• Ensuring that the data acquired is according to the project requirements
• Preparation of required offshore reports.
• Interpretation and integration of acquired geophysical data to produce site reports.
• Maintenance of QC and interpretation logs.
• Cooperate with the team to ensure that all deliverable timelines are met.
• Support the final deliveries in the office as required after a project.

The Senior role will be responsible for deliverables and lead the offshore geophysical team, providing advice and guidance. The Senior Geophysicist may also take on the Offshore Report Coordinator role.

Job qualifications: 

• MSc or BSc in Marine Geoscience, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute formal education If applicable:
• Offshore safety training and a valid medical certificate for offshore work, as required by regulations.

Experience:

Satisfactory completion of the IMCA competence criteria for Geophysicist Grade I, and Nominally 24 months’ experience as a Geophysicist Grade I, or: Relevant experience in a survey related discipline.
