Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with high-voltage commissioning expertise to join the  Commissioning Management Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe energisation and operation of the electrical systems within  Offshore Wind Project.

Location: Remote / Northern Poland/Aalborg (yard) – rotational 

Start date: Q3–Q4 2025 

Project:  Offshore Wind Farm (Poland) 

Key Responsibilities 

Electrical Safety & Operations: 

• Support the development and enforcement of Wind Electrical Safety Rules (WESR) 

• Act as ambassador for the WESR and overall electrical safety culture 

• Take responsibility as Person in Control of the Electrical Installation (PCEI) during work 

• Monitor, operate, and manage the  OWP power distribution systems 

• Plan, prepare, and carry out HV switching operations 

• Issue, monitor, and cancel electrical safety documentation 

• Create and approve switching schedules, especially for 1st energisations 

• Maintain accurate records of switching, permits, and isolations 

• Manage removal of safety precautions and SAP handovers 

• Respond to abnormal conditions and initiate emergency procedures if needed 

Commissioning & Site Support: 

• Support design phase to ensure operational needs are reflected 

• Participate in FAT/SAT testing and inspections 

• Work from OSS fabrication yard in Aalborg (pre-sailaway) 

• Represent the commissioning team on-site at the OSS and fabrication yard 

• Assist in training O&M staff for future SAP responsibilities 

• Support commissioning and energisation of HV electrical systems 

Procedures, Coordination & Compliance: 

• Develop and maintain safe operating procedures and switching processes 

• Coordinate with all APs/SAPs and interface teams across disciplines 

• Provide input into WESR and other internal electrical safety documentation 

• Manage software-driven safety processes (e.g. PtW, LOTO) 

• Review work requests, RAMS, and assess electrical risks 

Required Qualifications & Experience: 

• Proven experience in HV commissioning, switching schedules, safety documentation, and operations under electrical safety rules 

• In-depth understanding of electrical regulations and safe working practices for HV networks 

• Experience with SCADA systems and relevant software tools (PtW, LOTO, etc.) 

• Strong process and procedure development skills 

• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Polish language skills are a plus 

• Familiarity with offshore wind projects or similar industrial HV systems is strongly preferred 

Working Conditions: 

• Q2–Q3 2025: remote work (Mon–Fri) or 14/14 rotation at fabrication yard (Aalborg) 

• Post-sailaway: rotational offshore schedule with daily CTV transfers from shore 

• Flexibility required based on project progress and commissioning milestones
