Senior Geotechnical Engineer (m/f/x)

Your Tasks

• Preparation of geotechnical input and design for conceptual design, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies and construction design of hydropower plants for greenfield and rehabilitations
• Numerical modelling of structures in rock and soil, including foundations
• Specifying, supervising and evaluating geotechnical investigation programs
• Evaluation/back analysis of geotechnical conditions (based on monitoring results) during construction and working out possible design adaptations
• Cost estimations and construction scheduling
• Seismic hazard analysis
• Developing towards Project Management of design of hydropower projects and steering a multidisciplinary team of engineers and
• Project Management of projects as Owners Engineer during execution phase of projects worldwide

Requirements

• Masters degree with major in civil engineering and/or geotechnics
• +10 years of experience in relevant engineering with application of standard software applications
• Experience in design of underground and surface excavations, dams and foundations for hydropower projects as greenfield and rehabilitation projects
• Experience in seismic hazard analysis and seismic design of dams
• Experience in project management
• Fluency in English, good knowledge in French or other relevant languages would be beneficial
• Willingness to undertake regular trips to the project countries
