We are looking for Experienced Engineers to take on the overall responsibility for the development and execution of the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) packages across various projects. You will play an important role in Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), electrification and other industry projects.

About the position

Aibel’s Electrical Engineers design and specify electrical systems solutions and strategies for projects in concept, study, and detail phases. In this role you will collaborate closely with project and company representatives across disciplines. Main ESI packages include land cables, subsea cables, HV-equipment in onshore -and offshore substation, and grid connection.

Responsibilities and tasks include

• Responsible for the Main Power Supply Package Specification, detailing the technical and functional requirements for high & low voltage suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements
• Manage the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) from development to execution, including detailed engineering, fabrication, logistics, installation, contract management, and hand-over to operation
• Develop and assist in design of electrical philosophies, strategies, topologies, single line diagrams, load list, system description, PMS/PDCS systems and electrical system solutions

Qualifications

• Master degree in Electrical Power Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Solid understanding of system analysis and transmission systems
• Proven track record in conceptual and detailed engineering for large-scale projects.
• Experience and deep knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV and IEC
