Amentum is seeking a Civil Ports & Maritime Engineer to join our UK team, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure within the Defence sector. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model, combining office-based, Glasgow/Edinburgh/Bristol/Reading, some remote, and occasional UK site work.
You will be part of our Ports and Maritime capability, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver engineering solutions across civil, structural, geotechnical, seismic, and maritime disciplines.
This role focuses on collaboration and shared problem-solving, where you will contribute your expertise to support high-quality and sustainable project outcomes. You will work closely with colleagues and clients to build strong relationships and support the continued growth of the capability.
You will also play an active role in supporting and developing early-career engineers, contributing to an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages learning and knowledge sharing.
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career and contribute to nationally significant programmes within a technically strong and supportive environment. Our projects span the full lifecycle, offering involvement from early concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. You will be responsible for producing and reviewing high-quality technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with relevant standards, client requirements, and best practice, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and constructability.
Applying a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, you will help resolve complex engineering challenges and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will also support the management of project scope, programme, budget, and resources, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, efficient, and effective solutions.
