Job description

As a Field Engineer, you will be a vital link in providing power to the world. You will lead the installation, maintenance, and start-up of a broad range of equipment. Your work – on cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technologies and services – will support the crucial infrastructure of the world’s power generation network.

You will represent Arabelle Solutions both technically and professionally, ensuring that equipment is installed, maintained, and started up properly.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and/or project management to a team of technicians and craft labor for the maintenance, commissioning and installation of steam turbine and generator equipment, Arabelle Solutions and/or other Steam Turbines and Generators (ABB / Alstom / GE / ACEC).
• Provide leadership in the resolution of Steam Turbine technical problems through interfacing with our engineering department.
• Preparation of outage reports, providing an overview of the technical findings, corrective actions and maintenance recommendations.
• Provide leadership in on-site safety and quality systems.
• Promote customer acceptance of Arabelle Solutions’s products and services and how these can support our customers with their availability and reliability challenges.
• Support the business growth requirement by driving customer satisfaction through deliver of top quality service.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Mechanical/ electrical engineering university degree or equivalent experience
• Good command of oral and written English & German
• A depth of relevant experience in power plant or field service experience
• Familiarity with steam turbine internal alignment, component repair and other related maintenance services
• Experienced on Arabelle Solutions and/or other Steam Turbines and Generators (ABB / Alstom / GE / ACEC).
• Work efficiently without direct supervision, consistently demonstrating high levels of performance.
• Ready to work continuously at customer facilities site and to travel extensively
• Environmental, health & safety mindset and compliance
• This role requires work at customer facilities and extensive travel. Applicants must be willing and able to travel significantly (not less than 70%) without geographical restriction.

Desired Characteristics

• Knowledge of any other European languages is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
