Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme – Start Your Career with Dornan
Dornan’s Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme offers graduates the unique opportunity to work on live projects alongside experienced engineers. As part of the programme, you will gain hands-on experience with low and medium voltage systems, busbar systems, general lighting, power distribution, diesel generators, and many more essential electrical systems.
Our structured programme ensures that every graduate develops a deep understanding of all aspects of electrical engineering in a live construction environment.
What You Will Be Doing
Your role will include:
Assisting in the preparation of reports, feasibility studies, capital cost estimates, and project schedules
Preparing material take-offs and tender documentation
Reviewing returned tenders and updating delivery schedules
Managing RFIs (Requests for Information) to clarify design queries
Developing and monitoring project programmes using MS Project
Producing progress reports and short-term lookahead plans
Creating method statements and risk assessments with the construction team
Maintaining contract variation registers
Preparing test packs and performing quality control through inspections and snagging
Managing documentation, information flow, and communication
Supporting financial control during the construction phase
Coordinating with the client, design team, and subcontractors on technical issues
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a Level 8 Electrical Engineering Degree
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, and professional development

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interviews in November and December 2025
Offers will be made in January and February 2026
Successful graduates will begin their journey with Dornan in June 2026
