CAD Designers – Engineering Consultancy Division
We are seeking multiple CAD Designers to join our Engineering Consultancy Division, undertaking Optioneering, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Design across a variety of projects. These include customer connections, system reinforcement, and asset replacement initiatives.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects across the UK Power Sector, including:
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) system
Distribution Networks
Developer-led BESS, Solar, and Data Centre projects
Ideal candidates will have experience within the UK Power Sector, although this is not essential. You will receive support from our team of industry experts and gain access to a comprehensive library of engineering templates. We are looking for individuals proficient in 2D CAD, capable of assisting Principal Engineers in developing new drawings and amending existing ones to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide CAD support for producing electrical primary equipment layout and elevation drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Key Line Diagrams (KLD), outline cable route drawings, secondary schematics, wiring diagrams, and outline optioneering drawing packages as directed by Principal and/or Discipline Specific Design Engineers.
Produce a Contract Drawing List (CDL) identifying all drawings created or updated as part of the works.
Ensure all formally issued project drawings comply with client requirements.
What We Need From You
A self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering environment, ideally within the Power Sector.
Proficient in the use of 2D CAD, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Possess a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with a willingness to travel for company business.
Experience with 3D CAD (desirable).
Experience with SR188/TP188 standards (desirable).
Must have, or be able to secure, the Right to Work in the UK prior to commencing the role.
