QA/QC Lead (Mechanical)

We are looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Lead Engineer for a Data Center project. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role involves interfacing with the General Contractor and overseeing all quality-related tasks, including QAQC and commissioning activities.

Location: Gavle, Sweden

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate QAQC walk-downs to ensure quality control of completed systems and commissioning tagging walks.
• Verify all inspection and documentation for equipment, HVAC ducting systems, and plumbing & drainage systems.
• Oversee the preparation of test packs and witness pressure testing.
• Provide weekly reports on QAQC performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage walkdown schedules.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and construction team to ensure quality standards are met with minimal defects.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Bachelor/Master degree in a mechanical discipline.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical QAQC within industrial projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Ability to present specification requirements to project teams and demonstrate compliance.
• Preferred Experience: Industrial and process project experience, with a strong understanding of piping and HVAC systems.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and control.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
