Wind Turbine Installation Technician

Job description

We are ramping up our expanding onshore team with experienced Pre-Installation and Installation Wind Turbine Technicians!

As part of our growing team, you will take an active role in delivering safe, high-quality work during the pre-installation and installation phases of wind turbine projects worldwide.

Your key responsibilities

• Participate in the pre-installation and installation of Wind Turbines

• Assemble and install Wind Turbine components according to technical standards

• Check and ensure that quality measures and safety instructions are being followed

• Supervise the selection and proper use of special tools and equipment

• Participate in training organized by GWS

• Plan and organize your own work effectively

• Inspect and maintain safety gear, company cars, tools, and other GWS property

Requirements

• Experience working in the field as a Wind Turbine Technician (WTG)

• Completed mechanical, technical, or electrical education

• Proven experience in Pre-Installation and Installation activities

• English at a communication level (both spoken and written)

• Cooperative, communicative, open-minded, and flexible – with respect for others and different cultures

• Capable of working at remote sites in challenging weather conditions

• Willingness and ability to travel and work domestically and internationally as required

• Physically fit and confident working at height

• Professional approach with a strong focus on Quality and Safety

• Clean driver’s license and ability to obtain a valid passport

• Valid GWO training and OGUK Medical Fitness certificate
