Project: Offshore Wind Farm & Grid Connection

We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Senior Specialist to support the environmental oversight of one of the most significant offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea region. This is a key role within the Construction phase ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with environmental commitments throughout all stages of execution – both offshore and onshore.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all environmental activities related to the project, including the supervision of environmental monitoring, field surveys, and reporting obligations.
• Ensure full and ongoing compliance with environmental requirements and permit conditions during the construction of both the Offshore Wind Farm and Grid Connection
• Act as the main point of contact for environmental matters, maintaining close collaboration with construction package teams and contractors
• Monitor contractor performance in relation to environmental deliverables, provide guidance on mitigation measures, and participate in audits or inspections as needed.
• Represent the project in interactions with regulatory authorities, consultants, and other external stakeholders regarding environmental topics.
• Support the preparation and implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and ensure that all construction activities are conducted in accordance with local and international environmental legislation and industry best practices.
• Support interface and environmental deliverables required under ESG and ESAP
• Proactively identify potential environmental risks and suggest improvements or corrective actions when needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSc) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Marine Biology, Ecology, or a similar field relevant to the role.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the environmental sector, preferably in the renewable energy industry or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong project coordination skills, particularly in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing environmental compliance and stakeholder engagement during complex projects.
• Fluency in both Polish and English is required
• Solid understanding of environmental permitting processes in Poland and/or the EU, and knowledge of regulations applicable to offshore wind projects will be a strong asset.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
