Scope of Work

As an Offshore Client Representative (OCR) – Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) for UXO identification and clearance, you will:

• Oversee the entire UXO campaign, acting as the COMPANY’s on‑board representative from mobilisation through demobilisation.
• Review the Contractor’s RAMS and the Scope of Work (SOW), attend the kick‑off meeting, and advise the Package Manager on operational readiness.
• Approve all tests and calibrations of the spread during mobilisation and any additional tests required during the project; validate surrogate‑item trial methods, data and results, and give final authorisation for production work to commence.
• Supervise identification—and, where required, disposal—operations: maintain daily oversight, keep auditable records, liaise with the Offshore Superintendent and COMPANY onshore, and supply continuous status updates to ensure compliance with COMPANY instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Review acquired and processed data to confirm target identification and agree any disposal actions; where auditable data are not available (e.g., debris fields or magnetically contaminated areas), provide independent QA of the UXO risk‑management process.
• Act on behalf of the COMPANY for all UXO‑related matters, including sign‑off of search results and final deliverables for Marine Warranty Surveyors and insurers.
• When a contact is located, compare findings with geophysical data to verify that the source item has been found; if no UXO is located, confirm that reasonable measures justify abandoning the search and sign‑off the position.
• For positively identified UXO, determine the ammunition type (land, ASW, aerial, etc.), origin, main charge type/weight, fuzing system, armed state, and any internal or external hazards, and report these to the COMPANY.
• Submit detailed Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) covering activities, QA/QC results, HSE status and regulatory compliance; maintain daily communication with the Package Manager.
• Promote high HSE standards, participate in toolbox and SIMOPS meetings, and intervene proactively when risks arise.

Required Experience

• Military EOD qualifications 0801 and 0808 (a level above IMAS 3), or equivalent.
• Demonstrable track record as an offshore EOD/UXO specialist, including supervision of identification and clearance campaigns.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of offshore UXO and EOD risk—particularly in Baltic‑Sea conditions (BC Wind site).
• Familiarity with international and Polish offshore safety legislation and regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and common EOD/UXO deliverable formats (e.g., ASCII, AGS, GIS).
• Advanced written and spoken English (mandatory); knowledge of Polish is a distinct advantage.
• Valid BOSIET or GWO Sea Survival certificate and an up‑to‑date offshore medical (OGUK or equivalent).
• Ability to travel on short notice and remain offshore for extended periods.
• A proactive, safety‑first mindset and the confidence to intervene assertively yet cooperatively whenever necessary.
