We are looking for a Protection and Control (P&C) Engineer for our client, who will be responsible for both commissioning and analysis and design of protection and control systems for an onshore high voltage substation (HV GIS).
The role includes testing and implementing P&C systems in the final phase of the project, as well as preparing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with standards and working closely with engineering teams. Responsibilities
Commissioning and testing of protection & control (P&C) systems for HV GIS substations
Configuration and verification of protection systems and their integration with control systems
Reviewing project designs and verifying technical documentation for compliance with standards and client requirements
Collaborating with technology suppliers (GE, Siemens, Schneider, ABB) and project teams regarding protection and control systems
Identifying and resolving technical issues during the commissioning phase and preparing reports
Organizing and conducting factory and site acceptance tests (FAT, SAT) and maintaining ongoing communication with the client
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in commissioning within the power sector
Knowledge of HV GIS systems and protection solutions from GE, Siemens, Schneider, or ABB
Experience in testing, configuring, and commissioning protection systems
Ability to analyze technical documentation and collaborate with engineering teams
Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the power sector
Fluent in both English and Polish
Willingness to work on-site and in an intensive commissioning schedule
