Responsibilities:
Project engineer in the field of HVDC control technology for SCADA Communication Gateway components (signal transmission between automation devices, communication integration of auxiliary systems and control centers)
Creation and maintenance of specifications and manuals. Clarification of signal lists with internal interfaces and external customers & suppliers
Creation and maintenance of the central control technology signal database (signal transmission) and configuration of the central data gateway (IPCOMM ipConv) as well as other protocol converters
System integration and commissioning of various components in the test setup in Erlangen and Forchheim (ensuring error-free communication between components, including signal tests). Conducting/supporting acceptance tests with suppliers and customers
Technical support during commissioning
Qualifications:
Degree/training in Electrical Engineering/Automation Technology
Professional experience in control technology for power transmission systems
Experience in project execution, customer clarifications, and working in complex teams
Understanding of SCADA systems in power transmission (switchgear, etc.)
Technical English
Experience in Remote Control Interface, protocol converters, and data concentrators
Configuration of IPCOMM ipConf Gateway & protocol converters
Control technology integration of auxiliary systems
Process/signal data processing
Signal transmission
Function and application of database systems for signal transmission
Control technology protocols (IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850, OPC, DNP, etc.) and their corresponding communication structures
