Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineers

Job description

We are looking for experienced Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineers to join the design office of an international energy contractor in Poland. The role is connected with the engineering works for a new combined-cycle gas turbine power plant project in Poland.

The first two years of work are in Katowice, then on construction in Kozienice

The ideal candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Master’s degree is considered an advantage).
• Proven experience in the engineering and design of power plants and/or large industrial facilities.
• Solid background in electrical engineering calculations such as short-circuit studies, load flow, cable sizing, grounding and lightning protection, motor starting, harmonic analysis, relay coordination, etc., using professional software tools (ETAP, CANECO, DIALUX, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in preparing RFQ packages, including technical specifications, datasheets, diagrams, and annexes for major electrical equipment (transformers, generators, MV/LV switchgears, MCCs, UPS and DC systems, batteries, VFDs, motors, capacitor banks, harmonic filters, cables, SCADA and Load Shedding systems, etc.). Ability to develop MTOs for bulk electrical materials such as grounding systems, lightning protection, lighting fixtures, switches, junction boxes, cable trays and ladders. Skilled in bid evaluation, vendor documentation review, and providing technical feedback.
• Competence in producing electrical documentation such as load lists, cable schedules, drum lists, single-line diagrams, protection and metering diagrams, wiring and schematic drawings, and interconnection diagrams.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards, especially EN, IEC, IEEE, and others.
• Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Civil, I&C, Piping, Firefighting, etc.).
• Strong team player, comfortable working in multi-office, multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
