Internship – Application Support NEW

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Application Services team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise desktop applications, starting with software testing and gradually expanding into configuration and customization tasks. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields who are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic IT environment.

How you’ll make a difference

Phase 1: Testing & Quality Assurance

• Assist in executing test cases for desktop applications under development or maintenance, participate in regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Document and report bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues; maintain test logs and contribute to test documentation
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to verify fixes and improvements, using Power automate to automate tasks

Phase 2: Configuration & Application Support

• Learn and apply configuration settings for desktop applications based on business requirements using Visual studio, and review the XML configurations
• Support the setup of user profiles, permissions, and application parameters, including customization of application features to meet user needs utilizing the SQL Report Builder
• Participate in application rollout and onboarding activities
• Provide basic troubleshooting and support for configuration-related issues using a ticketing system

Your background

• University student status (expected graduation date in 2027 or later)
• Basic understanding of IT systems, databases, and configuration concepts (e.g., data structures, environments, versioning)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies or data-quality issues, high attention to detail and accuracy in executing tasks
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Ability to follow structured processes and documentation standards
• Good knowledge of English, strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with guidance; ability to manage time, and prioritize tasks
