About the position of Subcontracting Coordinator Electrical

We are looking for a Subcontracting Coordinator (Electrical & HVAC) with experience in a production environment (heavy steel or mechanical engineering).As Subcontracting Coordinator, your team and you will be responsible for all new construction, maintenance, Geo and R&D projects at the Huisman production site in Schiedam. Several projects also require collaboration with our production facility in the Czech Republic.You will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities within these fields. Your tasks include:

• Ensure that work is performed according to project specifications and within the established budget and planning.
• Coordinate planning and execution of electrical and HVAC work between internal teams and external subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations and safety guidelines in all subcontracting activities.
• Monitor costs and expenses within the allocated budget and report any deviations to management.
• Manage variation orders that occur during execution of the contract.
  Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular reporting on the progress of subcontracting activities.

What do we expect of you?

You will be responsible for:

• Evaluate project-related information, such as detailed design and installation drawings, schematics and quality control documents, bills of materials, production planning.
• Prepare an expectation of required resources and planning for materials, parts and installation.
• Making materials available to subcontractors in a timely manner.
  Supervise the installation by subcontractors of cabling, e-room insulation and HVAC installations on the shop floor.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines, such as mechanical assembly and hydraulics.
  Coordinate, review and approve work with subcontractors.
• Supervise deliveries by quality control and/or customer.
• Supporting the production planner with input for production planning.
• Periodically communicating with internal parties on progress and content of projects within internal communication and information structures.

You have:

• a relevant technical bachelor’s degree (bachelor with 1-3 years’
• experience or MTS with 3 to 10 years’ experience);
• experience in subcontracting management, preferably with a focus on electrical and HVAC. Hydraulic a plus;
• excellent negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders;
• strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability;
• knowledge of relevant electrical, hydraulic (plus) and HVAC regulations, standards and guidelines;
• team player with a proactive and results-oriented attitude.

Some practical things we need you to have:

• An EU passport/valid work permit for The Netherlands;
• A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
