The industry is undergoing a major transition. Companies are making their processes more sustainable, electrifying their installations and investing in smart energy facilities. As an E&I Engineer at Iv, you will actively contribute to this development. You will design electrical installations that ensure efficient, safe and sustainable production in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, chemicals and energy.
You will support clients in making informed choices, from initial concept to detailed design and from feasibility study to implementation. You will perform cable, short-circuit and lighting calculations, draw up consumer lists, carry out distribution studies and develop single-line diagrams. You will work with tools such as Intelec, DIALux and Vision Network Analysis and apply standards such as NEN 1010, NEN 3140 and IEC 60364, with an eye for consistency with instrumentation.
You will be involved in both new projects and complex existing installations. Examples include the electrification of a production line in the food sector, a CO₂ capture installation in the chemical industry, or the integration of battery storage in an energy supply.
You will be working with a team of 11 electrical engineering colleagues in Arnhem and 15 colleagues in Haarlem within the same field. There is plenty of opportunity to learn, ask questions and develop yourself further. Your job profile is flexible: within the team, you will have the opportunity to delve into specific electrical engineering specialisations or broaden your horizons to other E&I design tasks.
