Project Engineer Energy and Offshore

Job description

As a Project Engineer at Iv, you are the central link in our most advanced offshore projects. You ensure smooth coordination within the engineering team and across disciplines, supporting the Project Manager in monitoring budgets, timelines, and quality standards. For certain assignments, you may even take the lead as Project Manager, directly influencing the success of complex multidisciplinary projects.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Translating client requirements into technically feasible solutions
• Maintaining constant communication with clients and contractors
• Managing tender processes and preparing specifications, contract documents, and general terms and conditions
• Making informed decisions at discipline interfaces to ensure alignment and quality
• Providing a helicopter view to elevate project quality and bridge the gap between engineering, execution, and client expectations

Iv specializes in tailor-made solutions for offshore energy, covering the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies to engineering and procurement. Projects include offshore platforms, FPSOs, onshore facilities, and complex steel and mechanical installations. Iv is also active in offshore hydrogen production, including the PosHYdon pilot project, and has notable contributions to platforms like DolWin Alpha and Sofia HVDC.

What do we expect from you?

• A higher professional or university degree (HBO/WO) in a technical field, such as Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Extensive offshore sector experience, with the ability to convert it into smart designs and successful project outcomes
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Lead Engineer at an engineering firm is a strong advantage
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to engage effectively with clients and contractors
• Willingness to work on-site with clients and adapt to project needs
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
