To undertake and manage the day to day operations in respect of the following key areas:
Production, review and approval of Electrical reports, drawings and calculations.
Coordinate the delivery of the project tasks and deliverables within tight deadlines and multidisciplinary environment.
Instruct CAD designers with regards to Electrical design.
Work closely with and provide professional advice on Electrical matters to relevant client personnel.
Attend design meetings and site visits.
Provide technical support for bid preparations.
Thorough and conscientious checking of own and others work.
Identify business development opportunities with both internal and external clients and raise the profile of the business both internally and externally.
Undertake own continuing professional development and support the development of others.
Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards.
Work may require travel in the UK or abroad to offices and / or sites.
Candidate specification
Essential
An Electrical Engineering honours degree
Chartered Membership of a professional institution.
Knowledge and understanding of UK and international design codes, standards and specifications, in particular BS 7671
Demonstrable experience in the Gas/Petrochemical Industry with knowledge of Hazardous Area Protection Concepts and Industrial design and protection of LV Systems.
Some HV design experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Fluent written and verbal English.
Ability to work on own initiative on technical matters and manage their own time and that of others
Have the willingness to learn and develop
Desirable
Ability to use Trimble electrical design software
UK Gas Industry experience
Cadent / National Gas G17/35 Electrical Appraiser or Approver
