Job description

Smulders HSM is seeking a driven and experienced Allround Steelworker to join our team. As an Allround Metalworker, you will be responsible for assembling steel structures. Additionally, you should be eager to learn new skills and willing to take courses in areas such as painting, flange fitting, and safety training.

In this role, you will work offshore for approximately three months each year. During the remaining months, you will be working at our yards in Schiedam or Stormpolder.

Responsibilities

• Assembling metal structures and components
• Adhering to safety regulations.
• Repairing steel structures.
• Collaborating with colleagues to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
• Contributing to a tidy and safe workplace.

Who are we looking for?

• MBO work and thinking level (MTS Mechanical Engineering) and VCA certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction of offshore platforms or similar heavy industry projects.
• BOSIET / FOET and GWO training will be offered.
• Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG/MAG, TIG) and metalworking methods.
• Be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Team player with focus on safety and compliance.
• Willing to travel offshore within Europe during commissioning of our projects.
