E&I Project Manager

Are you an experienced E&I Project Manager with a passion for coordination and construction in the marine/offshore industry? Smulders HSM is looking for a motivated and dedicated E&I Project Manager to join our team in the construction of offshore wind substations. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and coordinating our E&I subcontractors, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure safe and successful project outcomes.

Job Description

You oversee the installation of the E&I scope on the project (installation, connection, and testing of cable trays, cables, and E&I equipment) carried out by an E&I subcontractor.

By closely collaborating with multiple departments, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, planning, and safety, you ensure the smooth and efficient execution of the E&I scope. Additionally, you serve as the primary point of contact for E&I subcontractors regarding progress, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all E&I activities during the construction of offshore wind stations
• Manage and guide E&I subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality project execution
• Coordinate quality inspections with the subcontractor for acceptance by the end client
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications
• Attend FATs or inspections when necessary
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the project
• Collaborate with engineering partners and project teams to discuss technical solutions, lessons learned, and design phase adjustments

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven E&I Project Manager with:

• A technical qualification at a minimum hbo-level (preferably in electrical engineering or instrumentation)
• At least 5 years of experience in E&I coordination or subcontracting within the marine, offshore, or energy sectors
• The technical expertise to address and manage changes and solutions pragmatically during construction
• Solid knowledge of E&I processes, safety standards, and quality guidelines in the offshore sector
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
• An eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a flexible, solution-oriented mindset
