Job description

We are currently looking for a CAD Project Engineer for a permanent position in Gdynia, Poland. The successful candidate will become a core member of the Wärtsilä Gas Solutions (WGS) CAD Team.

In this role, you will work closely with the Process Discipline Manager and Lead CAD Engineer, supporting Process and Design Engineers by transforming technical markups and instructions into P&IDs and Engineering Lists (Line List, Valve List, etc.) using Autodesk Plant 3D.

The ideal candidate will play an integral part in the project lifecycle by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in the development of key project deliverables.

Main Responsibilities

• Use Autodesk Plant 3D to develop, modify, and finalize P&IDs based on engineers’ instructions, ensuring compatibility with 3D models developed on their basis
• Manage the Plant 3D project database linked to P&ID objects to facilitate the generation of 3D models and Engineering Lists
• Coordinate with Process Engineers to address discrepancies or technical challenges during drafting, and manage and implement design changes to P&IDs during project execution
• Adhere to project timelines as well as company and project quality standards and requirements while managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Our Requirements

• Education: Minimum B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Process Engineering, or a related field
• Software skills: Proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D for developing P&IDs; prior experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is an advantage
• Collaboration skills: Effective communication and teamwork abilities to interact with engineers across projects and other team members
• Adaptability: Ability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines
• Language skills: Good command of English, both spoken and written
• Experience with LNG/LPG and/or the Marine industry is an advantage
