Job description

We are looking for a Service Engineer Turbochargers to join our team.

The location for this position is Gdansk, Poland. 

Your role and responsibilities   

As a Service Engineer Turbochargers, you will focus on these responsibilities:  

• Perform turbocharger overhauls in the workshop and occasionally carry out field service assignments.
• Prepare and submit spare parts requisitions as required.
• Fulfill all tasks assigned by the Team Leader, ensuring the work is completed to a high standard and maintaining required documentation, paperwork, and reports accurately.
• Demonstrate strong skills in work planning and organization.
• Maintain the quality and efficiency of mechanical work in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and ISO procedures.
• Use and maintain shop and field tools following good mechanical work practices, ensuring accurate and timely care of Wärtsilä special tools used in service operations.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through positive and professional customer interactions.
• Comply with all Wärtsilä regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions, as well as Polish labour law.
• Adhere to all safety rules and ensure the proper use of appropriate safety equipment.

Requirements for the position  

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or graduation from a Technical School (preferably Mechanical).
• Ability to read turbocharger diagrams and operate balancing machines.
• Willingness and ability to travel for service assignments without restrictions.
• Very good Polish and good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
