Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"emphasis-3\">Job Description<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishes the\u00a0 Sourcing marine operations Suppliers\u2019 panel\u00a0 in\u00a0 close\u00a0 collaboration\u00a0 with\u00a0 GE Vernova marine operations team and Project Sourcing department.<\/li>\n<li>Organises the\u00a0 Requests for\u00a0 Interest (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ)\u00a0 of marine operation services and ensure\u00a0 that\u00a0 project\u00a0 costing\u00a0 is\u00a0 backed\u00a0 up by robust supplier offers.<\/li>\n<li>Defines\u00a0 specific\u00a0 strategic\u00a0 marine operations subcontracting points\u00a0 such as\u00a0 destination country laws, vessels country\u00a0 of\u00a0 origin , cash in\/out, basis for escalation formulas, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Forecast the marine operations subcontracting related risks such as hyperinflation or specific country and\/or supplier risk.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the fulfilment of the business commitment to costs and cash-flow for the marine operations activities in ongoing project.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that all relevant marine operations subcontracting processes, work instructions and guidelines are followed within the organization as well as ensure compliance with Corporate Instructions, other Group Directives, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for supplier selection, monitoring and performance evaluation. Gives feedback from on-going agreements and execution issues to the GE marine operations team, to PMO Sourcing team.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures appropriate marine operations risks, contracts and claim management awareness and know-how in his\/her unit.<\/li>\n<li>Has the authority together with the GEV projects sourcing manager to negotiate Frame Agreements, Purchase Orders conditions within its scope of responsibility and manage\u00a0 contracts\u00a0 during\u00a0 execution\u00a0 being\u00a0 the\u00a0 point of contact\u00a0 of\u00a0 suppliers\u00a0 for\u00a0 commercial and contractual issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in\u00a0<b>sourcing, procurement, or subcontracting within marine operations, offshore, energy, or large infrastructure projects<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of marine operations subcontracting, including vessel sourcing, logistics, and country-specific regulatory considerations<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding of contract management, including purchase orders, frame agreements, claims, and execution-phase commercial issues<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with corporate sourcing processes, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and forecasting skills, particularly related to supplier risk, country risk, and cost escalation<\/li>\n<li>Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with project teams, sourcing, and operations<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, both written and verbal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced degree (Master\u2019s or MBA) in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a global or matrix organization, preferably within the energy or offshore wind sector<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of international maritime laws and regulations affecting marine operations and subcontracting<\/li>\n<li>Experience dealing with high-risk markets, including inflationary or volatile economic environments<\/li>\n<li>Experience negotiating long-term frame agreements with marine service providers<\/li>\n<li>Additional language skills relevant to project geographies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies.
