In this position, you will be responsible for 3D layout modelling, layout coordination, and design reviews across all project phases\u2014from studies and FEEDs to execution projects. Our multidisciplinary environment brings together project management and engineering expertise, offering employees the opportunity to work with complex, high-impact projects that shape the future of offshore energy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A role in a growing offshore energy business with increasing project activity and strong long-term outlooks.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to large, technically advanced engineering projects.<\/li>\n<li>An experienced, international design team working collaboratively on layout and structural engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities for career growth, system expertise, and cross-disciplinary development.<\/li>\n<li>A supportive environment that values curiosity, learning, and motivation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the layout responsible engineer for assigned projects using E3D and Navisworks.<\/li>\n<li>Lead and participate in layout and design reviews\u2014internally, with clients, and with vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with all engineering disciplines to ensure optimal system and module layouts.<\/li>\n<li>Develop 3D models using E3D, Inventor, and AutoCAD.<\/li>\n<li>Produce 2D layout drawings and engineering documentation according to company and project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Identify innovative and practical solutions for improving system design and layout efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute actively across all phases of the project lifecycle, including FEEDs, studies, and bids.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical quality, consistency, and project alignment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc\/MSc in Engineering (relevant experience may compensate for missing formal education).<\/li>\n<li>5\u201310 years of experience in layout engineering and\/or structural steel design for offshore applications.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of hands-on experience with Aveva E3D\/PDMS, Navisworks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and offshore system integration.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently and in a project team with high quality and structure.<\/li>\n<li>Strong motivation, positive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of Vault.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within offshore energy projects.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Norwegian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and collaboration skills, supporting efficient coordination across disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Curiosity and motivation to continuously learn and understand complex offshore systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to contribute positively to team culture and maintain constructive working relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Layout Engineer to take a leading role in the layout development of NOV APL\u2019s offshore systems.
