Your insights will be crucial for budgeting, and you&#8217;ll spearhead category strategies, directly impacting our projects through your strategic sourcing expertise and commitment to efficiency and effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"661\">Key accountabilities<\/strong><br data-start=\"661\" data-end=\"664\" \/>In this role, your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"1463\">\n<li data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"833\">Driving strategic procurement for advanced naval vessels, coordinating all acquisition and outsourcing activities<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"980\">Building and nurturing a high-performing supplier network, establishing professional relationships with strategic subcontractors and suppliers<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1092\">Conducting essential market research to inform procurement strategies and anticipate cost and sector shifts<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1204\">Managing comprehensive supplier contracts, ensuring their precise execution and adherence to cost variables<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1330\">Leading improvement initiatives with strategic suppliers, utilizing qualifications and evaluations to enhance performance<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1463\">Guiding category teams in defining and executing strategies, while providing crucial data for budget and cost price calculations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1465\" data-end=\"1488\">Skills &amp; experience<\/strong><br data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1491\" \/>We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"2484\">\n<li data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1681\">7+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained in a technical environment with complex projects and project management<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"1754\">Thorough knowledge and experience with strategic sourcing principles<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1755\" data-end=\"1873\">Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness, combined with an independent, well-structured, and hands-on mentality<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1874\" data-end=\"2024\">A Bachelor&#8217;s or Master&#8217;s degree, preferably in a technical field, complemented by Nevi-1 and Nevi-2 certifications or a willingness to pursue them<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2025\" data-end=\"2086\">Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2087\" data-end=\"2154\">Available to frequently work from our headquarter in Vlissingen<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2234\">Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2235\" data-end=\"2484\">Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
