Damen Naval is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer Marine Piping Systems for a project-based, interim assignment in Vlissingen.<\/p>\n<p>In this role, you will lead the design, engineering, and integration of complex piping systems for state-of-the-art naval vessels. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring technical excellence and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"724\" \/>\n<p><strong data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"750\">Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Lead Engineer Marine Piping Systems, your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"1688\">\n<li data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"940\">Analyse and interpret technical specifications for marine piping systems across diverse naval projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"1104\">Develop and model basic and detailed engineering packages using 2D and 3D CAD tools, ensuring alignment with Damen Naval standards and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1213\">Coordinate and oversee outsourced engineering activities, guaranteeing technical quality and compliance.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1214\" data-end=\"1309\">Advise stakeholders on technical improvements and best practices for marine piping systems.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1310\" data-end=\"1404\">Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental regulations at every project stage.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1405\" data-end=\"1493\">Mentor and coach team members, fostering knowledge sharing and process optimization.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1606\">Promote interdisciplinary collaboration for seamless integration of piping systems within the vessel design.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1688\">Independently manage complex engineering tasks and conduct technical reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"1693\" \/>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1695\" data-end=\"1718\">Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"2772\">\n<li data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"1906\">Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"2044\">At least three years of experience in piping systems engineering, preferably within naval shipbuilding, offshore, or related sectors.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2045\" data-end=\"2146\">Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with hands-on experience modelling complex piping layouts.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2147\" data-end=\"2249\">Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and verifying outsourced engineering deliverables.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2250\" data-end=\"2354\">Strong knowledge of statutory regulations and classification requirements for marine piping systems.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2355\" data-end=\"2421\">Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2422\" data-end=\"2486\">Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2487\" data-end=\"2567\">Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2568\" data-end=\"2772\">Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
