You will design and implement automation solutions for complex onboard systems, enabling safe and efficient control and monitoring across the platform.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"742\">Working in a multidisciplinary team and in close collaboration with international partners, you ensure that all automation designs meet strict cybersecurity, safety, and military requirements \u2013 from concept to final commissioning.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"747\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"775\"><strong data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"773\">Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"832\">In this role, your key responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"1815\">\n<li data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"963\">\n<p data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"963\">Develop functional descriptions and automation architecture for various shipboard systems in the context of the ASWF frigate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1114\">\n<p data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"1114\">Design and document control logic and interfaces for PLC\/SCADA-based automation, aligned with defence-grade standards and cybersecurity protocols.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1260\">\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1260\">Prepare and maintain technical specifications for automation hardware and software, ensuring integration with electrical and mission systems.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1408\">\n<p data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1408\">Collaborate with internal stakeholders, system suppliers, and international partners to align on technical solutions and interface definitions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1551\">\n<p data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1551\">Support the development of test plans and simulation environments to validate functionality across various project stages (FAT, HAT, SAT).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1677\">\n<p data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1677\">Review vendor documentation, assess compliance, and integrate their deliverables into the ship\u2019s automation architecture.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1815\">\n<p data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1815\">Contribute to the continuous development of automation standards and engineering practices within the ASWF programme and Damen Naval.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"1820\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1822\" data-end=\"1847\"><strong data-start=\"1822\" data-end=\"1845\">Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1849\" data-end=\"1915\">We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1917\" data-end=\"2819\">\n<li data-start=\"1917\" data-end=\"2073\">\n<p data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"2073\">At least 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of complex automation systems (PLC\/SCADA), preferably in the maritime or defence sector.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2074\" data-end=\"2196\">\n<p data-start=\"2076\" data-end=\"2196\">Experience with systems engineering and multidisciplinary projects involving multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2197\" data-end=\"2320\">\n<p data-start=\"2199\" data-end=\"2320\">Familiarity with cybersecurity and safety standards relevant to military or mission-critical systems is a strong asset.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2321\" data-end=\"2430\">\n<p data-start=\"2323\" data-end=\"2430\">Experience working in a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environment, preferably using the V-model.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2431\" data-end=\"2555\">\n<p data-start=\"2433\" data-end=\"2555\">Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2556\" data-end=\"2639\">\n<p data-start=\"2558\" data-end=\"2639\">Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the selection process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2640\" data-end=\"2819\">\n<p data-start=\"2642\" data-end=\"2819\">Permanent EU citizenship and passport, as required by the military nature of the ASWF project.
