Your work ensures that all electrical systems\u2014from sensors and power distribution units to mission-critical weaponry\u2014are safely and efficiently connected through optimal cable arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>You translate system designs into physical cable routes, considering EMC, separation guidelines, bending radii, and installation feasibility. Working within our 3DExperience engineering environment and according to the V-model, you align closely with various engineering disciplines to ensure a robust and production-ready cable design. The result of your work is a network of cabling that forms the essential nervous system of our naval ships: reliable, safe, and compliant with the most stringent standards.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1073\" \/>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1075\" data-end=\"1099\">Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this role, your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"2209\">\n<li data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1323\">Design and document detailed cable routes, cable lists, and interface definitions for electrical systems, based on functional descriptions and system architecture.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1448\">Ensure compliance with relevant EMC, fire safety, separation, and mechanical protection standards during cabling design.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1630\">Work closely with colleagues from disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Outfitting, and Mechanical to align cable routing with physical space and construction constraints.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1631\" data-end=\"1723\">Maintain and develop cabling standards, calculation templates, and design methodologies.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1724\" data-end=\"1826\">Review vendor documentation and integrate their cabling requirements into the overall ship design.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1827\" data-end=\"1960\">Support production and installation by preparing detailed cable routing drawings, bill of materials, and installation guidelines.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2084\">Contribute to system validation by supporting cable verification and continuity checks during FAT, HAT, and SAT phases.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2085\" data-end=\"2209\">Participate in design reviews and provide input to optimize cable accessibility, maintainability, and lifecycle support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2211\" data-end=\"2214\" \/>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2216\" data-end=\"2239\">Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2311\" data-end=\"3159\">\n<li data-start=\"2311\" data-end=\"2485\">At least 3 years of experience in detailed cabling design and integration for complex electrical installations, preferably in the maritime, offshore, or aerospace sector.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2615\">Familiarity with cable routing in 3D environments and relevant CAD\/PLM tools (e.g., 3DExperience, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2616\" data-end=\"2723\">Experience with system engineering principles and working within a multidisciplinary project structure.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2724\" data-end=\"2813\">Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2814\" data-end=\"2906\">Knowledge of EMC-compliant design and best practices for cable separation and shielding.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2907\" data-end=\"2982\">Excellent references; security screening is part of the hiring process.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2983\" data-end=\"3159\">Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required.
