Field Service Technician – Machinist \u2013 Onshore & Offshore<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a Machinist<\/strong>, you will play a key role in delivering precision machining services<\/strong> to our clients across onshore and offshore sites. You will carry out flange facing, milling, pipe cutting, drilling, and other field machining activities to the highest industry standards, often in challenging environments. This role offers variety, excellent earning potential, and clear career progression pathways<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Key Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • \n

    Perform on-site machining operations, including:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Flange facing<\/strong> (RF, RTJ & Hub connectors)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Pipe cutting and bevelling<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Milling<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Drilling and tapping<\/strong> using a wide range of portable machining equipment<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Complete bolting activities<\/strong> in line with TMJI 10, 11, 18, 19 & 20 standards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and to client specifications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Contribute to a positive safety culture<\/strong> by following all health and safety procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Work with onshore Operations and Projects teams<\/strong> to plan, prepare, and deliver work scopes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Operate effectively as part of a project team<\/strong>, both onshore and offshore, across the UK and internationally.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \n

      Essential Experience & Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Proven machining experience<\/strong>, ideally in energy or heavy industry sectors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Competency in:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • \n

          Flange facing (RF & RTJ flanges and Hub Connectors)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Pipe cutting and bevelling<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Milling<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Drilling and tapping<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Bolting \u2013 TMJI 10, 11, 19 & 20 (TMJI 18 advantageous)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Ability to work offshore, onshore, and overseas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Adherence to HSSEQ rules and safety regulations<\/strong>, with proactive participation in safety improvements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Flexible attitude and willingness to mobilise at short notice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Experience in coaching and mentoring<\/strong> junior or less experienced Field Service Technicians.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET\/FOET, MIST, medicals<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Pass ongoing competency assessments<\/strong> to retain qualification and grade.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Fluent in English<\/strong>, written and verbal; additional languages are a plus.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Ability to read technical drawings<\/strong> and write reports.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          Full driving license<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Desirable Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • \n

            Heat exchanger machining experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

          • \n

            Experience with portable CNC milling machines<\/strong>, such as GeniSYS IV or equivalent.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
