You report defects and unsafe conditions immediately, and you make sure all activities are executed safely and according to procedures.<\/p>\n<p>You will assist the Engineer 1 with repair and maintenance tasks, take on independent responsibilities, and ensure accurate administration of your work. During shift handovers, you clearly communicate the work performed and any issues identified.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also collaborate closely with the electrical department and the deck team, ensuring that vessel operations run smoothly and efficiently. Once you\u2019ve gained sufficient experience, you\u2019ll contribute to deck-related technical work and provide support during complex offshore operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"975\">What you will be working on<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1429\">\n<li data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1065\">Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing engine room systems and auxiliary equipment<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1184\">Supporting deck and construction activities by operating compressors, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic hammers, and ILTs<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1264\">Assisting in the operation and maintenance of lifesaving and safety systems<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1343\">Reporting unsafe conditions and ensuring compliance with safety procedures<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1429\">Coordinating with electrical and mechanical colleagues to ensure vessel readiness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1462\">Key ingredients for success<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1862\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1534\">Maritime or technical vocational education (MAROF or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1607\">2\u20135 years of experience as Engineer onboard an offshore or DP vessel<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1670\">Strong problem-solving mindset and sense of responsibility<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"1728\">Excellent command of English, both spoken and written<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1788\">Proactive, safety-driven, and results-oriented attitude<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1789\" data-end=\"1862\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Team player with the flexibility to work in dynamic offshore conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your role in the story As Engineer 2, you play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our SSCVs, the world\u2019s largest crane vessels.
