You will maintain lookout with the Master and ensure the good maintenance and housekeeping of the vessel alongside the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete periodical inspections and maintenance of the vessel in accordance with maintenance procedures<\/li>\n<li>Promote a positive safety culture on board the vessel and be familiar with all safety equipment, requirements, instructions and facilities on board<\/li>\n<li>Deliver a professional service from start to finish when transferring technicians<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the on-board administration and recordkeeping<\/li>\n<li>Undertake onboard training as required and participate in emergency drills<\/li>\n<li>Assist engineers with vessel maintenance as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Undertake instruction from the Master<\/li>\n<li>Undertake instructions from the shoreside management team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"cb-Text RichText\">\n<p class=\"Container\"><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"Container\">Previous experience as a deckhand on commercially operated vessels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Container\"><strong>Desirable experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Small boat experience<\/li>\n<li>Customer facing experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Container\"><strong>Skills and behaviour<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work proactively in a small team<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively<\/li>\n<li>Able to follow instructions<\/li>\n<li>Use own initiative<\/li>\n<li>Positive can-do attitude<\/li>\n<li>Execute safe working practices and environmental protection<\/li>\n<li>Maintain good housekeeping (clean, tidy and organised)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Container\"><strong>Technical skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competent with ropework, mooring, bunkering, watchkeeping and vessel planned maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with the operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines and ancillary systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Container\"><strong>Misc<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"Container\">Able and willing to work from any site in UK and Europe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"Container\">\n<p><strong>What certificates \/ documents do I need?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right to work in the UK<\/li>\n<li>Passport \u2013 must be valid for travel to the UK and EU<\/li>\n<li>STCW basic safety training certificates (preferably not older than 4 years):<\/li>\n<li>Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting STCW A-VI\/1-2<\/li>\n<li>Elementary First Aid STCW A-VI\/1-3<\/li>\n<li>Personal Survival Techniques STCW A-VI\/1-1<\/li>\n<li>Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities STCW A-VI\/1-4<\/li>\n<li>ENG1 Seafarer medical \u2013 Fit for lookout duties must be ticked Yes<\/li>\n<li>MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC1)<\/li>\n<li>Desirable:<\/li>\n<li>Navigational Watch Rating Certificate II\/4 (Deck)<\/li>\n<li>Current UK driving license<\/li>\n<li>Discharge book<\/li>\n<li>Slinger Signaller course (preferably not older than 3 years)<\/li>\n<li>Automatic External Defibrillator training (AED)<\/li>\n<li>VHF Short Range Radio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a CTV Deckhand you will safely transfer wind turbine technicians, and other passengers, to offshore windfarms as well as undertake cargo operations.
