Established to unlock the potential of offshore wind across the globe, our talented team, exciting pipeline and solid capital commitment give us the potential to become one of the world\u2019s most successful offshore wind companies.<\/p>\n<p>We entered the market with a portfolio of operational and development assets, alongside the resources, capabilities and resilience to deliver offshore wind energy at scale.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Why this role matters<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in building a robust internal audit capability from the ground up.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>In this role you will<\/strong><\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Executing the roadmap for establishing the Internal Audit function within JERA Nex bp.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring effective internal audit methodology and processes.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing a risk-based internal audit plan.<\/li>\n<li>Executing internal audit engagements, formulating actionable recommendations, and drafting clear, concise audit reports.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and action plans.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborating with external audit consultants, where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting to the Audit Committee, providing independent and objective assurance on whether key risks are being effectively managed within the company\u2019s defined risk appetite.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the continuous improvement of the internal control environment.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, contributing to First Party Audits for ISO certifications (ISO 9001, 27001, 14001, 45001).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><strong>To be successful in the role you will bring<\/strong><\/b>:<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a proactive and experienced audit professional who can operate independently and strategically. You ideally bring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Master\u2019s degree in a relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>At least 10 years of internal auditing experience, preferably in the (renewable) energy sector.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk-based auditing, and corporate governance.<\/li>\n<li>CIA certification is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Trustworthy person, with a curious, analytical mindset.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and report-writing skills, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and influence decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>A structured, hands-on approach with a high degree of autonomy.<\/li>\n<li>A genuine interest in renewable energy, including its technical, financial, and regulatory dimensions.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Dutch, German, or Japanese is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>What you can expect from us:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Working at JERA Nex bp means being part of a global leader in offshore wind, where innovation, collaboration, and sustainability drive everything we do.
