This may include, but is not limited to:\n<ul data-start=\"2224\" data-end=\"2560\">\n<li data-start=\"2224\" data-end=\"2296\">Leading, managing, delivering and documenting specific R&amp;D projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2299\" data-end=\"2353\">Development and maintenance of cable design rules.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2418\">Setting standards for technical reports and documentation.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2481\">Conducting appropriate cable design calculation studies.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2484\" data-end=\"2560\">Liaising with internal and external clients and suppliers, as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2562\" data-end=\"2947\">Providing technical support and guidance to the wider R&amp;D team and others, as appropriate, throughout the life cycle of the product, including but not limited to:\n<ul data-start=\"2729\" data-end=\"2947\">\n<li data-start=\"2729\" data-end=\"2796\">Technical risk identification and client specification reviews.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2799\" data-end=\"2868\">Non-conformances, design rule deviations and project concessions.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2871\" data-end=\"2947\">Complex client technical queries and development of appropriate solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2949\" data-end=\"3117\">Supporting and, where appropriate, leading the development and integration of new technologies, templates, calculations and tools to improve efficiency and quality.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3119\" data-end=\"3185\">On-the-job training and mentorship of engineers at all levels.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3187\" data-end=\"3311\">Taking actions, where appropriate and as directed, to comply with group and team expectations in order to meet data-end=\"3368\"><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3369\" data-end=\"4626\">\n<li data-start=\"3369\" data-end=\"3511\">Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; a Physics degree may also be suitable.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3512\" data-end=\"3605\">Chartered Engineer status or demonstrable ability to apply within a reasonable timeframe.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3606\" data-end=\"3822\">Extensive relevant experience of high-voltage submarine cables in the offshore wind and\/or oil and gas sectors, including detailed cable system design, research and development, and cable manufacturing processes.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3823\" data-end=\"3955\">Strong relevant knowledge of submarine cable constructions, designs, ratings, limits, manufacturing, installation and operation.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3956\" data-end=\"4058\">Proficiency with tools, methods and industry best practice regarding cable design and manufacture.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4059\" data-end=\"4128\">Familiarity with client documentation requirements and processes.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4129\" data-end=\"4304\">Significant knowledge of relevant industry standards relating to submarine cable design, qualification and testing, as well as the wider offshore wind and subsea industry.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4305\" data-end=\"4409\">Experience in interpretation and application of appropriate IEC standards and CIGRE recommendations.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4410\" data-end=\"4496\">Demonstrable experience of problem solving and working in high-paced environments.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4497\" data-end=\"4550\">Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4551\"
