The job includes legal aspects of the delivery of energy storage systems to our customers, managing the contractual relationships with our supply chain, but also all sorts of corporate issues in Europe and will include any stuff that might end up on a corporate lawyer\u2019s desk. The role will be part of Fluence\u2019s EMEA Legal Department reporting to the General Counsel, EMEA. This position offers an opportunity to make a difference by contributing to the effective, accurate and profitable operations of a global organization with the mission to change the way we power our world (and \u2013 we take this mission seriously!).<\/p>\n<p>The job location for this role is in <strong>Berlin or Erlangen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s your average day going to look like?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be part of and proactively contribute to Fluence\u2019s success during the entire customer journey from Sales, across Delivery to Services.<\/li>\n<li>Drafting and negotiating a large variety of contracts, in particular supply, EPC, service, procurement and other commercial agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Fluence is growing and constantly changing: So are the expectations to the Legal team. You will be working on international corporate initiatives as well as on a wide variety of other matters that come across the table of an inhouse lawyer.<\/li>\n<li>You will need a large level of comfort navigating complex contracts including working on contracts outside of your jurisdiction<\/li>\n<li><strong>In other words<\/strong>, whatever has \u201clegal\u201d or \u201ccontract\u201d written over it, will be yours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does it take?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are a few items we think will help you win the day in your new role<\/p>\n<p><strong>You<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are responsible, agile, leading and fun. (Hint: these are Fluence\u2019s core values, and we mean it. Seriously.). Beyond that, you fiercely innovate, enjoy thriving together with others (at Fluence the \u201dWe\u201d is paramount), and always stive to deliver excellence;<\/li>\n<li>are fully qualified in Germany (first and second state exam);<\/li>\n<li>you have a \u201cgeneralist background\u201d and gained a minimum of 7 years of experience in drafting, interpreting, and negotiating complex project agreements; if your experience comes from the renewable energy or energy storage sector, we might think you were fancy indeed;<\/li>\n<li>have excellent judgment, both in business and interpersonal matters (but you still like lawyers\u2026);<\/li>\n<li>have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and a highly self-motivated working style;<\/li>\n<li>have the ability and willingness to act take responsibility and drive decisions. For you, the legal department is not an ivory tower but a business function merrily interacting with other part of the company delivering first in class results. You can win the day for your client, and the other side thinks you\u2019re awesome. People sometimes tell you \u201cWow, I didn\u2019t know lawyers could be cool.;<\/li>\n<li>read legalese fluently, but you never, ever (!) speak legalese. You enjoy boring your family and friends with your vast knowledge of legal matters that come up in the life of an international group of companies.
