We prioritise innovation, regulatory compliance, and client engagement, with a strong commitment to Health &amp; Safety and CDM advisory services.<\/p>\n<p>We are now seeking a <strong data-start=\"658\" data-end=\"673\">CDM Advisor<\/strong> to support projects across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Reporting to the Engineering and CDM Compliance Lead (EMEA), this role ensures safe and compliant project delivery while fostering a collaborative and professional approach with clients and internal teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"967\">Role Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a CDM Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Black &amp; Veatch in fulfilling the duties of the <strong data-start=\"1078\" data-end=\"1100\">Principal Designer<\/strong> (CDM 2015) on construction projects. You will liaise with clients, designers, and principal contractors to manage and coordinate health and safety across the design, construction, and commissioning phases. The role may include supporting the PSDP role in projects within Ireland as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1405\" data-end=\"1429\">Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1432\" data-end=\"2236\">\n<li data-start=\"1432\" data-end=\"1541\">Ensure CDM Principal Designer and Designer roles are carried out in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1657\">Support Black &amp; Veatch in fulfilling Principal Designer duties and act as CDM Advisor to clients when required.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"1725\">Support PSDP responsibilities in Irish projects, when required.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1726\" data-end=\"1907\">Liaise with clients, designers, and contractors to share information critical to planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating design, construction, and commissioning phases.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"2087\">Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase, including reviewing pre-construction information such as existing Health &amp; Safety files.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2088\" data-end=\"2236\">Advise clients in compiling pre-construction information and provide guidance to designers and contractors to ensure compliance with CDM duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2247\" data-end=\"2286\">Minimum Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2906\">\n<li data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2392\">Several years\u2019 experience in the construction industry with exposure to CDM\/Health &amp; Safety issues.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2393\" data-end=\"2480\">Excellent working knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant UK &amp; Irish safety legislation.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2481\" data-end=\"2602\">Proven track record delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor roles on large-scale energy or industrial projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2603\" data-end=\"2673\">NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, and NEBOSH Construction Certificate.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2674\" data-end=\"2744\">Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPS).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2745\" data-end=\"2783\">Full and clean UK driving licence.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2784\" data-end=\"2906\">Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screening, vehicle records, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"2945\">Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2948\" data-end=\"3274\">\n<li data-start=\"2948\" data-end=\"3007\">Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverables.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3008\" data-end=\"3069\">Knowledge of construction and constructability practices.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3070\" data-end=\"3150\">Understanding of procurement, contract administration, and project controls.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3151\" data-end=\"3175\">PSDP qualifications.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3176\" data-end=\"3212\">Experience in the energy sector.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3213\" data-end=\"3274\">Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH), or working towards it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"3285\" data-end=\"3313\">Why Join Black &amp; Veatch?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3316\" data-end=\"3560\">\n<li data-start=\"3316\" data-end=\"3381\">Work with a leading global engineering and construction firm.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3382\" data-end=\"3441\">Engage directly with clients and high-profile projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3442\" data-end=\"3509\">Play a key role in shaping safe and compliant project delivery.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3510\" data-end=\"3560\">Hybrid working model with regular site visits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Company Overview Black &amp; Veatch is a global leader in engineering, consulting, construction, and program management solutions, delivering data-driven, cost-effective strategies for clients.
